EHES (European Health Examination Survey) is a standardized representative Health Examination Survey of the adult population of the European countries, which focuses mainly on major chronic diseases and their risk factors as their core measures. In 2013-2015, , the Ministry of Health has asked the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) to carry out a study on the health of the resident population in Luxembourg (EHES-LUX). A sample of 13,400 people was invited to participate. 

EHES-LUX is expected to produce national health indicators of significant national relevance, including cardio-metabolic outcomes, mental health, respiratory health, women’s health, thyroid disorders, and exposure to pollutants.
